1938 Flood in California

The Larson family arrived in Southern California just a week after a devastating five-day deluge had caused unprecedented flooding, washouts and damages. On this page I have included a couple of links to videos that do a great job of explaining the enormity of the event and the extent of the damage. Both of these videos are relatively short. The first one is a historical look back, and the second one is a newsreel from 1938. Both are pretty interesting.
